What is on the inside of an authentic NFL jersey where the number is sewn on?

Question: I just want to know what there is, since I've seen a little paper kind of thing that easily comes of on one that was suposed to be authentic. Is that supposed to be like that? That's what i meant. But it seems to come off pretty easily, and I am not sure if that's bad do you even need it? Can you get it back on? Or does that mean the jersey is not real?

Answer: That paper is a stabilizer to make it easier for the person sewing the logo to sew the shirt. it keeps the fabric from shifting in the sewing machine and it also protects the jersey fabric from the sharp feed mechanism of the sewing machine so it doesn't get snags, pulls, and runs. Stabilizers are used in most garments with crests and embroidery. It can be paper, special fabrics and special non woven paper-like fabrics. It is meant to tear away easily when no longer needed and then any residue will wash away. As for authenticity, I don't know about that, but I do know stabilizers are universally used in the garment manufacturing industry.
