Question: I'm trying to figure out how to dry a garment without making the zipper go all funky and get all wavy. I'm hang drying the item, but I was sort of wanting to dry it to shrink it a bit. Any tips on how to dry something without screwing up the zipper and making it all wavy?
Answer: I would suggest letting the garment dry completely. Yes..the zipper will get wavy. Take a pressing cloth, (a thin cotton dish towel will work) and a steam iron. Place the cloth over the zipper and lightly straighten the zipper while you press it with a steam iron. It will remove the waviness of the zipper.
